How to use Punji
Short, step-by-step walkthroughs for every Punji feature — with what you'll see at the end.
- Add a stock to your watchlistYour watchlist keeps the stocks you follow one tap away, with live prices every time you open Punji. You can add a stock three ways: from search, by tapping the star on any stock list, or from the watchlist screen. Here is each.
- Manage what a stock notifies you aboutOnce a stock is on your watchlist, tap its star again to choose exactly what Punji notifies you about — big price moves, key dates, and more — or mute it entirely. Each toggle is per stock, so you stay in control.
- Track a holding in your portfolioAdd a stock you own to see its live value, profit and loss, and all-time return. Open Portfolio, add a holding manually, pick the stock, enter your shares and buy price, and save. Punji then tracks it against the live market.
- Set a price alertGet notified when a stock crosses a price you choose. Open Alerts, tap +, pick whether the price should go above or fall below your target, enter the target, and create the alert. Punji notifies you when it triggers.
- Backtest a monthly investmentSee how investing a fixed amount every month in one stock would have performed. Enter a symbol and a monthly amount, then run the backtest — Punji shows the returns, units bought, and average cost over time.
- Calculate buy cost and feesWork out the true cost of a trade before you place it. Open the calculator, enter the number of shares and your buy price, and Punji instantly shows the total cost, broker commission, SEBON and DP fees, and your breakeven price.
- Compare stocks side by sideLine up a few stocks to compare their price, returns, and fundamentals at a glance. Open Compare, tap Add stock, and pick the securities you want — Punji shows them side by side so differences are easy to spot.
- Analyze a stock chartOpen any stock, expand its chart to full screen, and layer on technical indicators. Add moving averages, RSI, MACD, Stochastic or ATR, tune their parameters, and read momentum and trend without leaving Punji.
- Post in the communityShare ideas with other Punji traders, and reply to any post. Type @admin in a comment to tag a moderator when you need help or want to report something. The first time you post, you pick a public handle and accept the community guidelines.
- Place a trade in the ArenaThe Arena lets you practice trading with virtual money at live market prices — no real cash at risk. Choose Buy or Sell, pick a stock, enter a quantity and price, and place the order. Your virtual portfolio and rank update as prices move.
- Check your IPO allotmentFind out whether your IPO application was allotted — for all your saved accounts at once. Open IPO results, unlock with your MeroShare account, then tap Check. Punji looks up each BOID and shows allotted or not for every issue.
- Import holdings from MeroShareConnect your MeroShare account once and Punji imports your real holdings automatically — no manual entry. Add the account with your MeroShare login, then run a sync from Portfolio. Your credentials stay encrypted on your device.
