Answered honestly

Where does the market data come from?
From NEPSE published data, live during market hours. Punji handles the plumbing so your phone just shows the result.
Do I need a broker login?
No. Punji reads market data and computes your portfolio from the holdings you enter or import from MeroShare. It never places orders. If you choose, it can keep your broker’s TMS password on your phone and fill it in when you open your broker’s own TMS site from the app; the trading itself happens there.
How accurate is the tax calculation?
It applies the Nepal capital gains brackets to the lot you intend to sell, short-term and long-term, with broker fees included. It uses the same commission bands, SEBON fee and DP charge your broker applies. Not legal advice; verify with your advisor for edge cases.
Is my portfolio private?
Holdings, watchlists and alerts are stored on your Punji account and never sent to ad networks. The app’s own analytics records actions such as adding a stock, with its symbol; the privacy policy lists exactly what. An optional Face ID or fingerprint lock protects the app on your phone.
How does Punji make money?
A small banner on a few browse screens, never on your portfolio. A few actions, such as syncing MeroShare many times in a day, ask you to watch a short video once you pass a free daily allowance. Every feature can be used without paying.
Can I export my data?
Yes. Your portfolio exports as a CSV from the portfolio tab. Punji does not lock you in, your data is yours.

If yours isn’t here, email us. Replies within 1 to 2 business days. Or see everything Punji does.
